San Diego Rock n Roll ! June 2011

Amazing how fast the summer has gone by!  I was actually complaining to my husband about what I will do to entertain the kids for the whole summer.  We have had one down day and that is it!  As you can tell with my blogging attendance I start something and never finish!  I am defiantly a queen of good intentions.  Seriously, I love to start projects and then I get to busy or maybe bored to finish them.  You should see my craft office!  I seriously found a pair of leggings that are 12 months old that I was going to do something with.  Guess what Miss Gabi is over 4 years old!  I truly admit to this being one or maybe my only flaw! LOL  For many years I have been battling with my weight, so I thought I am going to make a commitment to myself and follow it through.  The commitment is running/jogging/walking anything but finish 6 half marathons.  Well it is June and I have finished three!!!!  I am so proud of myself on so many levels. It is awesome that my kids and my husband are SO supportive.  I will show pictures of my last two once I play catch up!  So June 5^th I ran in the San Diego Rock n Roll half marathon!  It was AMAZING!  What a beautiful run and the weather could not have been any nicer!  Okay the only complaint would be it was uphill the whole way or at least felt that way.  It is so awesome to see how excited my husband and kids are when they see me.  My son lets everyone know his mom is a three time gold medalist!  My daughter thinks I am SUPER fast (I am so not)!  My husband always has this look of amazement and let’s me know he is amazed how determined and strong willed I am!  Shoot if I knew they would be giving me these props I would have done it so long ago!  Clint (a.k.a. Mr. LuckyGabi) made the whole trip really nice for me!  We enjoyed Sea World and the night before my race he was smart enough to make reservations on the water at the Fish Market.  The whole trip was beautiful, relaxing and perfect! 

Just an FYI these photos were the only ones taken and they were taken by Mr. LuckyGabi's Iphone!  What an amazing start to a busy Summer!  We decided this summer to get a membership to a local gym and we have been spending our days playing and swimming!  It seems like the days run into each other!  Brandon attended his first Cub Scout Day Camp!  Wow that was a blast for him!  He got to go swimming, learn archery, shoot BB guns and a lot of other fun activities!  I am thinking I REALLY need to have a giveaway soon!  Let me get somewhat caught up and that is what I shall do.  Have any suggestions????  Talk to you soon!

April 2010 Catch up!!

Wow…over a year! Life came at me fast! I am trying to juggle being a great mom, good housewife, excellent business owner, studious student and all of the other stuff! I think when I started the blog it was about promoting my business, but somewhere down the road my business came less important. Don’t get me wrong I love what I do and I always strive to do the best. I just struggle with everything else and how to fit it in. I often ask what my priorities are. My life is always the fullest when I put my family first! My kids have grown up so fast and it is time to think about a career for myself as well. I have been in a post Bac program to earn a teacher’s certificate. I am super excited to be almost done! I could never be done with LuckyGabi since I worked so hard to start and keep it going, it is just as important to me!


My goal for this blog is to help me keep a journal of my life with the family and the great adventures LuckyGabi the business and Lucky Gabi the kids bring me!

Well I am just so excited that I finally took the time to blog!  I had so much fun looking through the pictures.  Amazing looking at the little munchkins and how they look like babies only a year ago!!!  Too fun.

New pettiskirt pictures!!

Okay, so I have always offered these colors!!! It seems like time just flies around here. These pictures were taken months ago in the dead heat of summer in the oven we call Arizona! We took these adorable cuties to lunch at Joes Farm and Grill, a fabulous place to eat in Gilbert! It is also an amazing setting for some cute pictures! The girls loved spending time together playing and twirling in their pettiskirts. I will post some more cute pictures soon of the two together!! Together they look like a perfect Easter picture with the soft pastel colors. I hope everyone's New year was a safe and wonderful one!

What Matters Most...

Of course it has been yet awhile since I have posted. It has been so busy balancing work and family! Both have kept me about frazzled! It has been a great Holiday vacation with lots of going, fun, memories and very busy with work! It has finally calmed down and I hope to share some of the fun memories the past few weeks have brought! We are leaving for yet another great adventure and hope to ring in the New Year right and BRIGHT!!! So until next year enjoy a wondeful video of what matters most.......

Child Style Magazine Giveway at OPK!

Oh wow I did not even realize it has been almost two months since an actual post! Life came at me fast and well the past few months was a rough one. Seems that life is finally on track and exactly the way it should be. The family has enjoyed several camping trips up North and a recent beach trip with some friends. I cannot believe it is the start of the Holidays. Mr. LuckyGabi has his own Dune trips as well as some family Dune trips planned. I believe every weekend until after New Years we have something going on. So, bring on the Holidays because I have a very good feeling it will be some of the best or at least I am keeping positive. I have checked my list twice and I can say I have been very good and only naughty to those who well deserve it!

Business side seems to be crazy too! Looks like everyone is planning ahead and I am under a sea of red and white chiffon! It is nice to see people ordering sooner than later! Some favs from our last pettiskirt photoshoot.....

I love these two images. Well the first one is just to darn cute. The girls just look so amazing. Of course the gorgeous photoshoot was from Miss Amy Jamieson herself. The second picture is miss Gabi goo playing with a necklace. We couldn't get her out of the shot, but it turned out so cute anyway. More to come and I know I keep saying my website will be done soon, but it really will. Things have been crazy over here and I am just trying to do it all.

Coming Soon!! -

Well the website was suppose to be done and installed before vacation, but my fabulous web designer turned out to not be so fab! I haven't heard from her and well I just had to create one myself since she is MIA! So that should explain why no products are up and it is moving slow. I was really bummed since it was suppose to be really great! Oh well, Sorenson rule #1, most of you have heard me say it so I wont repeat it! I decided I will create my own destiny and make lemonade out of lemons! It was actually quite fun and easy with my new shopping cart. I just took my awesome pictures from my truly fabulous photographers Amy Jamieson and Amy Fraughton and photoshoped some cool digital scrapbook elements. I think it looks pretty good for not knowing what the theck I was doing!! Take a look I am still fixing, tweaking and playing around with it. I have some new photos to add from an AMAZING photoshoot with the AMAZING Amy Jamieson! Miss B did terrific and I believe like 15 outfit changes! Miss Gabi was just walking around eating candy having no part of any pictures! What a true Diva! Miss M is simply beautiful and seriously the most mannered and well behaved little girl! I didn't getting any pics of Miss Brooke, but she was there hopefully in a couple of weeks I will get some new ones!! Here are a few shots and hopefully I will add them soon!!!!

More late night photoshopping!!!

Well, I am loving my time to play with my photos. I only wish my kids were more cooperative about taking photos. If you only knew what I had to bribe them with for this photo shoot. I think it was video games for an hour, movies and candy before dinner!!! Well Karma is real because they had tummy aches. Yes, I do get the mom of the year award too!! But hey lesson learned, I am a great teacher!

I seriously joined like a month or so ago, but getting ready for vacation I just didn't have the time, but my goodness I spent an hour or so on it last night. I haven't posted any of my photos or anything, heck a girl has to get a little good first. hehe I cannot say enough about it, the tips were useful even for my point and shoot camera.

Anyway, just thought I would share some of my fun!! I have candy to eat, oops if my husband reads this I mean carrots! Little side note..I have Type 1 Diabetes and am forever attached to an insulin pump. So again off to eat my carrots and watch my movies.

What am I doing on vacation?

Well, a whole lot of nothing! It has been wonderful....enjoying the kids and the family has been much needed. I have not had a chance to get some really quality pictures, but I took my favorites and played around on photoshop. Granted they are not the best, but the first time I played around with levels. I found a really cool blog called www.coffeeteaphotography.blogspot.com the directions were awesome and got me motivated to play around a bit. I am just loving San Diego weather, well anything is better than the boiling heat of our crazy Arizona! It has been in the high 70's and I am a nice shade of golden brown. The kids are loving the beach! Gabi actually lays and rolls around in it! Brandon is crazy about the ocean and jumps right in, makes my heart jump right out! They are busy busy building sand castles, sand desserts and night walks on the beach! We ventured to Legoland and that was completely awesome, I will post more pictures soon.

Wow a post a day!!! I might actually put the pettiskirt giveaway up this week...oops did I say pettiskirt???
I know I say it a lot, but this is why I love my job. I LOVE seeing the BEAUTIFUL pictures of the girls. I never thought much of photography and would always say that it seems pretty easy, well it is not! ChildHelp Enchanted Luncheon

I was so excited to participate in the Childhelp's Enchanted Luncheon at the GORGEOUS Montelucia Resort and Spa located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Childhelp is a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect. This was a beautiful fundraiser. When you came you were greeted by horse drawn carriages with beautiful mom and daughters having their photos taken. The keynote speaker was Lin Sue-Cooney and the special guests were Princess Catherine Oxenberg, well known for her role in Dynasty. Her husband well known actor Casper Van Dien was in attendance as well as their beautiful daughters. Casper Van Dien recently taped a Childhelp PSA.

Here are some of the beautiful models strutting their One Posh Kid and LuckyGabi outfits!

Here are some photos of some of the outfits that were taken home by Princess Catherine and Casper Van Dien's girls! I was most excited by the eldest daughter who just loved the turquoise and black outfit. The tween market is so hard to please and she was super excited. They were all so gracious and very thankful.

The fundraiser was super fun to be a part of and to see all the little princesses running around with their gorgeous mothers for charity was great!

LuckyGabi going on vacation!!!

So I finally sent out the dreaded email that I will be closing up shop for almost 8 weeks! Yikes!! I had to! I love working and have had such a great response to my products, but I need to regroup and spend time with my precious kids the actual Lucky and Gabi!!! It was a hard decision, but I am embracing this time to update my website, images, and details. I have been working with a fabulous web designer for a few weeks now and can not wait to show everyone the new website. I have so many new ideas that come rushing to me, but never find the time to bring them to fruition. BUT, the main reason for the vacation are these two knuckleheads!! They are so much fun and make me laugh constantly, especially Brandon. He will for sure be the class clown. These are some pictures from our bike ride to the park!! Brandon needs a haircut but he does not want his hair short. We will see who wins that battle.

Gabi is growning up so fast! I often say I am still exhausted from having her. It feels like just the other day!!! She loves her bubba and wants to do everything he does.

Gabi seems to think she can ride a bike, we wont tell her different, like she would listen anyway. Hmmm...I wonder where she gets that from, yep Clint! Anyway, I found a bike that has a push bar on it since I knew I would be stuck pushing her!! She loves it and it plays Winnie the Pooh music.

And there is Brandon, the park has some hills so he rides his bike down the hill. He picked up riding his bike so fast. I cannot believe he will be starting actual school soon!! I WILL be that mom with the tears taking pictures.

Well we cant ride bikes and go to the park in sunny Arizona during the summer, so I am packing up the family and heading to San Diego for 3 weeks. I wish it was longer, but the beach condo wasn't available for the month, so I will manage with the 3 weeks. LOL Oh I cannot wait!!! We are creatures of habit and always vacation in San Diego for the summer over the 4th of July and of course our anniversary is July 2nd. I cannot believe Clint has had the privilege to be married to me for 9 years!! He has to be the luckiest man alive. Well, I am starting my summer early and we are heading up north to drop off the motorhome for the summer. Last year we left them up North and camped every other weekend. What a great time!!! I promise to blog more and I am even thinking of doing some fun giveaways!!! Soon!!

What a wonderful video

I haven't posted in awhile since I have been so busy. As I work into the wee hours I often think of my family and how blessed I am to have them. My husband is a wonderful and supportive man and my kids are true blessings. This Easter was great spending time with my sister and her family and seeing the kids play. I often find myself putting so much energy into people and things that don't really matter and neglecting the people and things that matter the most. Keeping it simple is going to be my goal for this coming month. I came upon this video from another blog and it just touched me. You will have to mute my music to hear it and it is worth it.

Birthday Pettiskirt Party!!

How simply beautiful is Miss "I". Well, I just love her in any of my pettiskirts or photos. She is so full of life and loaded with sass. Just the right amount!! The camera absolutely loves her!! Miss "I" celebrated her birthday and I was so honored to make her a pettiskirt for her special day!!!

Of course Amy Fraughton Photography was there to capture every moment of these girly girls laughing, dancing and having fun!!

And the cutest picture ever!!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday and you look GORGEOUS!!! I really do think this is my most favorite outfit!!! One Posh Kid made a matching top that just finished this outfit up!

Best buds and BMX racing!

Brandon's best friend "the Governor" has been riding at the BMX track and finally talked him into heading over and trying it out! Well, Brandon loved it! We didn't want to buy him all the gear he needed until we knew for sure he was going to love it and well he does. He of course had his helmet from riding his quad, but he was such a good sport out on the track riding his little bike.

Here they are waiting for their turn to go out on the track. When I saw the track I thought to myself no way will he get out there, tell you the truth I was hoping he wouldn't. No fear in him he went on in with 100 other people and started going over the big bumps and all. Clint had Court that day so he met us at the track and I made him run after him in his suit to make sure he didn't need help. It was funny!! He needed some help up some big hills because he didn't have the right kind of bike and he just has those tiny hooves!! (Simpsons mention) The Governor rocked it! He went through the gates and rode around like a natural. He was so excited that Brandon was there!!

Flower Petal tutus!!

Oh how beautiful are these!! The photos, the model and the flower petal tutus. I was feeling a bit spring ie... and have been working on some fun soft color flower petal tutus. Of course no chance for photos yet, but I came across these and fell in love all over again!! Monica Reid Photography took these gorgeous photos and I just love them. LuckyGabi flower petal tutus are full of soft rose petals and greenery with a contrasting color of tulle and satin. Perfect for those Spring afternoons, great with tights and perfect for photos!!!
